Privacy Policy

Effective July 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Dropcast ("Dropcast," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our text-message marketing platform. By using Dropcast, you agree to this policy.

Who we are

Dropcast is an SMS marketing platform for events. Businesses use Dropcast to collect opted-in contacts and send them text messages about events and drops. When we act on behalf of a business that uses Dropcast, that business is responsible for its own relationship with its contacts.

Information we collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Contact information that businesses upload or that fans provide when they opt in, such as phone number, first name, and city.
  • Consent records, including how and when a person opted in, the wording they agreed to, and the IP address captured at signup.
  • Usage information about how the platform is used, such as messages sent and link clicks.
  • Account information for the operator who signs in to run campaigns.

How we use information

  • To deliver text messages that contacts have opted in to receive.
  • To keep a record of consent, so every message is compliant.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the platform.
  • To respond to STOP, HELP, and other required keyword requests.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share phone numbers with third parties except the service providers we use to deliver messages.

Text messaging and consent

Contacts only receive messages after they opt in. Message and data rates may apply. Anyone can reply STOP to opt out at any time or HELP for help. We honor opt-out requests promptly and keep a suppression record so opted-out numbers are not messaged again.

How we share information

We share information only with service providers that help us run the platform, such as our messaging carrier and hosting providers. These providers may only use the information to provide services to us. We may also disclose information if required by law.

Data retention

We keep contact and consent records for as long as needed to run the service and meet legal and compliance obligations. Businesses can ask us to delete contacts they control.

Your choices and rights

Contacts can opt out at any time by replying STOP. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of the page.
